Dallas Area Java Developers are in High Demand
The North Texas tech industry is rapidly growing, creating a huge demand for talented IT professionals in every stage of their careers.
North Texas is becoming a booming area for tech companies turned off by the high operating costs of Silicon Valley. This is good news for talented IT professionals positioned in the digital economy of North Texas. Local companies are paying workers higher compensation for their skills in key areas of software development and engineering, reports and observers say.
In the Dallas area, the average tech salary has seen an increase of 2.9 percent, ranking North Texas as No. 15 in the nation among tech hubs. Silicon Valley, which is consistently No. 1, had a slightly slower salary growth rate of only 2.4 percent in comparison. With Dallas tech salaries now 11 percent higher than the national average of tech salaries (according to research by Robert Half for The Dallas Business Journal), savvy tech workers are flocking to the area in droves.
“Almost every candidate we have hired this year has had multiple offers in the region, meaning demand is increasing, which is pushing salaries up. On average, pay is up 10-15 percent higher than a year ago” stated Lee Abrahams, Talent Acquisition Manager at Apexon, in conversation with Brian Womack at The Dallas Business Journal about the spike of Dallas tech salaries.

Why Java? Java has many benefits that make it a popular programming language used across large organizations. While the daily roles of Java Developers may vary, they are mainly responsible for the design, development, and management of Java-based applications. Java-based applications are known for being extremely stable and easy to code, so developers often master the language more quickly than other programming languages.
