Silicon Valley’s Infostretch Announces Bristol Recruitment Drive

The digital engineering leader is creating 40 remote jobs as it expands into the South West.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – March 24, 2022 Infostretch, a global leader in digital engineering services, is creating scores of jobs in Bristol as it expands its presence across the UK.

The move will see the Silicon Valley tech firm create over 40 jobs in Bristol over the next 12 months, including entry and senior level positions in full-stack software development, Salesforce and software testing.

Bristol was identified by Infostretch due to its close proximity to ‘world-class universities’ including the University of Bath, University of Bristol and the University of the West of England Bristol (UWE), as well as its ‘burgeoning tech sector’.

According to research commissioned by Tech South West, the South West of England’s tech sector is set to grow to almost £20 billion gross value added (GVA) a year by 2026, creating more than 125,000 new jobs and positioning Bristol as one of the UK’s fastest-growing tech hubs.

Infostretch made headlines last year when it completed the acquisition of Infostretch – a technology solutions provider which employed hundreds of people across its offices in the UK, US and India – and made a commitment to continue investing in the UK by establishing teams in each of the country’s major tech hubs.

This has already led to the creation of over 60 additional full-time positions in Birmingham, Edinburgh and Leeds over the last 12 months, as well as doubling its headcount in Sunderland, and Bristol is now the latest tech cluster to benefit from its ambitious recruitment drive.

Speaking about Infostretch’s expansion into Bristol, Martin Williams, UK Managing Director, said: “Establishing a presence in each of the UK’s regional tech hubs has been a key priority for Infostretch since the acquisition of Infostretch last year and Bristol was naturally right at the top of our hitlist.

“As well as being home to world-class universities, the city has a thriving tech sector which attracted over £100 million in venture capital last year and accounted for more job opportunities than almost anywhere outside of London.

“Add to that the fantastic work-life balance it enables you to offer employees through its world-class arts and culture offering and its stunning coastline, and it’s no surprise that so many businesses are turning their attention towards the city and we’re really looking forward to getting our recruitment drive underway.”

Backed by Goldman Sachs, Infostretch was founded in 2004 and now employees over 2,000 people in its 15 offices across the globe. This will not only enable local technologists the opportunity to get together to work on projects for some of the world’s biggest brand names, but also to work alongside colleagues from across the globe.

“Infostretch has developed a real reputation over the years for promoting from within and providing career progression opportunities for its staff, and we’ll certainly look to continue building on this culture through our expansion into Bristol,” added John Wright, Head of Talent Acquisition – UK.

“From fully funded training courses to wellness initiatives and paid-volunteering opportunities, we really invest in our people and this is reflected by those that have stayed with us and progressed through the ranks since we opened our first ever UK office back in 2011.

“We’re already recruiting for a few roles in Bristol with more to follow over the coming weeks and months and I’d encourage anyone in the South West seeking a new challenge, whether they be entry-level graduates or experienced developers and programme leads, to explore a career with Infostretch.”
