Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IAM SSOi Entra ID Engineer to support the operations and maintenance of a large agency's Microsoft Entra ID-based Single Sign-On (SSO) environment for the VA ICAM IOSS modernization initiative. The role involves troubleshooting access issues, monitoring integrations, maintaining technical documentation, coordinating with application owners, and onboarding or migrating applications while ensuring authentication and access controls meet security and agency standards.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and identity security.
• Knowledge of authentication and access control mechanisms.
• Experience troubleshooting SSO access issues and integration failures.
• Ability to monitor identity integrations and maintain technical documentation.
• Experience coordinating with application owners and technical teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience onboarding and migrating applications to Microsoft Entra ID-based SSO.
• Knowledge of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) environments.
• Experience validating authentication configurations and access controls.
• Experience supporting security and compliance requirements in government or enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operations and maintenance of the Microsoft Entra ID-based SSO environment.
• Troubleshoot authentication failures, access issues, and integration problems.
• Monitor SSO integrations and coordinate resolution of incidents.
• Work with application owners to onboard and migrate applications to the SSO environment.
• Validate authentication configurations and access controls.
• Maintain technical documentation, integration records, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure identity integrations align with established security policies and agency standards.
• Support ongoing improvements to the reliability and security of the SSO environment.

Education Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
